Hey guys and gals I am having an issue with my 98 Mustang a dangerous one

Hey guys and gals, I am having an issue with my 98 Mustang, a dangerous one. My brale lights are working intermittently like there is a short somewhere. It isn't the brake light switch because I have tested it, it's getting power besides I have changed it 3 times.

It seems like the short is near or at the black connector in the driver's side kick panel, whenever I press the brake pedal and wiggle that connector my brale lights flicker or sometime stay on or won't come on at all.

My big question is, what color is the brake light. I want to say it's the green wire with a red stripe, can someone confirm? Thanks in advance.

    Kind of neat!

The 1966 FORD Galaxie 500 Magic Cruiser concept car could be transformed from a fastback to a station wagon and back via hydraulic and electric controls. One of the specifications given to George Barris who was hired by Ford to build the car was that the movable roof section rise within seven seconds. A series of aircraft hydraulic systems, screw jacks, and a switch on the dash made that possible. Lowering the tailgate allowed for easy entry to a rear-facing third seat, and like on Ford’s production station wagons, the second and third seats could be folded down for additional cargo storage.

So I had to call Saleen to check on a part and asked the gentleman I was speaking to if he could verify something for me. I told him that my car is marked with number 16 and I was told that that was out of 200. I asked him if that was true. He asked me for my year, did I have a white, yellow, black label, and was my car supercharged. I advised him it was a 2014 302 supercharged. To my great great surprise he advised me that my car is number 16 out of 24 produced. Out of those 24, only 15 were made supercharged! I about had a heart attack over the phone! He told me to definitely hang onto my vehicle as it will be up in value as the years go on. I asked him what he meant by that and he said within the next 10 to 20 years I should be able to get $30,000 over sticker price! But he also said that it had to be in pristine condition. I told him that wasn't going to happen and as I drive my car that's why I bought it! He said well, then you might get 20 24,000 over sticker price. I told him I am totally fine with that! Talk about making your day!!!!!!

Thoughts on this. 99 Cobra rate color 1 of 185 in SW code Electric Green. 35k miles. Apparently this color was only offered in 1999.

Do you think this would make a good BUDGET investment/collector car (for those of us that cant afford a termi)?

What do u think you would pay for it (good deal)?

          Opinions and insight please. Thanks.

More info today on the Saleen I'm looking at. I joined a Saleen group last night after my friend David Stefanowicz suggested it. I've had a flurry of activity asking help and advice from that group (hats off to them for being so quick and helpful, especially the main admin). I was able to ask more and better questions to the owner of the Saleen today via text, this is the response I got back word for word:

Okay gang, I'm looking for some Saleen knowledge here. I found this car and have been talking to the owner (my deal a month ago with the Termi fell thru, the guy decided to keep the car till Spring and sell it then). Is this a good price for this car. I haven't seen it in person yet but I have many more pics of it he's sent me. He says its pretty much flawless and he's selling it because he can no longer drive. I looked up its value on KBB and NADA and I'm getting a wild swing in price ranges. What say you about this car? What do you think its actually worth?

When your boss has been a jerk all morning then asks you to do his oil change. And you planned on quitting anyways.

                        Thread locker--check

                        Gasket sealer-- check

                        Impact gun-- check

Now all that's left is waiting on his next oil change so he can replace his motor.

(I can't take credit for the pic.. saw it on a page and couldn't resist)

This is for my Nephew Jadon Neely, he lost his battle with Cancer on June the 11th. He was a faith filled Mustang loving teenager full of life. Even after he was diagnosed with Cancer he never lost his personality. My brother was working hard to get his car where he could drive it before he passed away and sadly Jadon never got that chance. So in honor of him J Alan Buzbee is taking on the privilege of restoring this car so the family can take it to shows etc in Jadons honor. In the mean time we are trying to get parts together to make this car whole again. It's a 19665 Hardtop Ford Mustang. If you are willing to donate any parts , chrome trimming ,interior pieces , chrome motor accessories etc. Please contact myself or J Alan Buzbee . Thank you all and God Bless You in advance.

"Which Car" Discussion - Need Some Opinions from Mustang Enthusiasts:

Looking for a general consensus so feel free to share your thoughts and knowledge.

I currently own a 2007 Shelby GT500 Conv. which i drive on weekends in nice weather. Car has 14k miles on it. Had it since July and put nearly 2,000 miles on it in 4 months before putting it away. Looking to keep the mileage down to about 2,000 a year, so i started looking into "affordable" (Sub $10k) investment cars, yes i know that is an oxymoron...

Im specifically Interested in 87-93 Fox Body Mustangs in unmolested bone stock (or close to it) condition and with lower mileage (under 80,000 miles) because i believe these cars appreciate in the next 5-10 years. 93 Cobras and Fox Body Saleens have already gone up and been priced out of my budget. I believe stock 5.0 fox bodies are next.

Would like an LX 5.0. The ultimate example of what i want would be a bone stock 5-Speed LX 5.0 Notchback....but finding one of those in nice shape for around $7-$8k is nearly impossible these days.

My question is this, i have found two examples of what i think are great investment cars. In your opinion which car will appreciate more in the near future:

                            Pic 1) 1988 LX Hatchback 5.0 5-Speed Red 62k miles - Seller asking $8k

                            Pic 2) 1990 LX Notchback 5.0 Auto Silver 90k miles - Seller asking $7k

Which would be the more desirable option for a 5.0 car, the 5-speed Manual Trans. or the Notchback body style?

Which would you choose and why? Feel free to site specific examples of cars you have seen for sale or sell recently.

I also don't know the production numbers for these cars so if anyone has them, feel free to share! Thanks!

I am so upset because I have been in Florida for the last four months and just came home and found out my winter car is gone!(thanks to good old hubby). Which leads me to drive my Saleen Mustang through the winter and it is never seen a winter yet! This causes several problems and you know:

                              1. Can only drive the car when the roads are dry and of course salty

                              2. When it snows and I have appointments I'll have to cancel them and can't go anywhere as the car won't move (hum... how do I take and pick up my daughter from school?)

                              3. Messing my car up because it should be stored and not out in the salt etc. and that really ticks me off after what I paid for the car

                              Just needed to vent
