SuperChips Bluefin Handset + Stage 1 ST180 Tune

SuperChips Bluefin Handset + Stage 1 ST180 Tune - $750 (inc Shipping)

Handset has been reset (ie no longer locked to my car), so it pretty much plug and play to the new owner. You will still need to send your stock file to Superchips for them to return the Stage 1 tune file, which will then be locked to your car, but it is all done easily through the software.

I am more than happy to run through the process with the new owner and also have been advised by the Aus Dealer to give them a buzz if any dramas.

I have had the Stage 1 tune running from stock to where the car is now in terms of bolt ons, with absoloutley no dramas or errors.

My reason for selling is having upgraded to a Stage 2 Collins Tune.

If anyone has questions or is keen let me know.

For sale ad has been posted on other sites also on first come basis.

Cheers

(At this stage this date is being requested/confirmed so but may change)

    Where:

Marulan Driver Training Centre, Marulan NSW.

    Website - www.mdtc.com.au

    Cost:

Private day = $TBC. Shared vehicles incur TWO driver fees. cost will be PER driver, not per car.

    Licence:

You must have a track licence to particiate. Any CAMS or AASA Licence is Ok, otherwise you must purchase a MDTC facility licence for $40 which is good for 12months.

    Equipment:

Must have an Australian Standard Helmet. Should you not have one, Helmets are available to hire (plus refundable cash deposit). Drivers must wear long sleeves and long pants along with closed in shoes.

    Track Sessions:

Sessions are 10min duration with max. of 6-8 cars on the track at any time. No overtaking is permitted on any part of the circuit other than the main straight. This is good for inexperienced drivers as they will not have to be checking their mirrors the whole time. The facility will match drivers of similar ability in the groups. You can swap groups throughout the day if your initial group is unsuitable.

    Services:

There is a BP service centre 7km from the facility. There are canteen facilities and a coffee shop on site serving hot and cold food/beverages.

    4pm Track is closed.

    Payment:

Once the above date is confirmed, Payment details will be posted up, so you can secure your place.

    Please Note:

The money needs to be paid ASAP. Depending on circumstances, payment is generally non-refundable because if somebody withdraws the extra cost is bourne by the organiser.

Anyone not comfortable with that should consider carefully what they want to do. If you can find a replacement, then a refund will be fine. This system has worked well over the past five years of us running track days at Marulan.

Those requiring licence and or helmet hire will need to bring money on the day to cater for this.

E85 tune by stratified from US

E85 tune by stratified from US.

I am thinking of getting this tune.

Does anyone have experience in this tune for Ozzie Focus ST's?

Besides I know getting and mixing E85 to make E30. Any other experiences?

(20-30hp increase seems to good to pass up)

Also will such a tune affect the reliability of the car in the longer term, such as rubber seals drying up?

Another question being the first time filling up with E85, they say fill up with 12 litres of e85 and rest with premium unleaded. After I fill up does it matter I move the car to side like 10 metres before I change the tune?

Because I plan to do all this at petrol station.

Sorry this question may seem silly.

        Apologies for so many questions.

Elevate Rear Sway Bar (anti roll bar) Focus ST

The rear sway bar is 3 way adjustable and really helps takes away the ST's delay in turning into a corner, I had this set to the middle hole and found the car very balanced, it all but removed all under-steer and made over steer easy to achieve if you wanted to carry a little more speed into the corner. The only downside is one of the grease nipples on the saddles broke off when I removed it, I still have the nipple and will include it.

I will be in Sydney and Brisbane at times during Jan so I can arrange to drop parts off there as these things are damn hard and costly to post. I will toss up some pictures once I get home.

14inch 6 piston Big Brake Kit (used) Focus ST

Would anyone be interest in a Willwood 14inch 6 piston Big Brake kit for around $900? It is a front axle only kit and has 2 piece front rotors, this thing stops hard and decreased my Marulan lap time by almost 2secs. The Kit comes with custom made ADR complaint braided brake lines ($200 alone) as I had this kit engineered and 100% legal on my car. This is about $3500 shipped brand new, I'm selling this cheap as the pads are totally used up and the rotors probably are to unless they can be machined.

              2012 Focus ST Battery replacement

              2012 Focus ST Battery replacement.

Just a bit of info for those with a Focus ST, your stock batteries will be getting close to needing replacing. Mine is a Oct 2012 built and I had to replace mine today.

So the stock battery is 175 x 175 x 270mm and 590CCA. I replaced mine with a Century DIN75L MF from supercheap for $254. This battery is huge at 175 x 175 x 315mm and 730CCA but is does fit as shown below. To fit the larger battery you will have to remove the stock spacer in the back of the battery tray, this clips out.

              Hope this helps someone out.

Hi guys quick question. Fiesta st 2015. anyone had this same issue

Hi guys, quick question (Fiesta st 2015) anyone had this same issue?

I seem to be getting a bit of knock/rattle from near where the handbreak/armrest region is of my car from underneath. It occurs when I have been driving for a long period (40mins plus or having a bit of fun -cough- through the rev range) at which point if I turn the car off and then restart it I hear the knocking sound. Other times it can occur is when the car has been run for a while and I go down to very low rpm in 1st or 2nd then go to creep my foot of the clutch and take off at a intersection etc. I thought at first maybe the downpipe but after taking it to an exhaust place he said look it has clearence around there the only area I see maybe knocking is hear the rear of the car at the rear. See photo of example of area.

Do you think the vibration from heat expansion would cause the knocking to occur near the armrest/handbreak region dispite it maybe being further back along the system. The other option meantioned was perhaps the inside of the cat is rattling inside the downpipe after it heats and expands.

Phone is a stock image IE not my car.

Wondering if anyone has done the BPV blanking plate and installed a BOV

Wondering if anyone has done the BPV blanking plate and installed a BOV? Currently have the Turbosmart 50/50 BPV fitted and can't fault it, apart from the fact that it over powers just about all intake noise as it releases at the slightest bit of throttle even when set to hard. Vehicle also has full stage 3 Cobb kit. Was considering going BOV or even running the vacuum actuation of the current BPV from the intake manifold rather than the electronic controlled solenoid. Any one have any info on this at all??

Anyone here looking to buy a new RS and want an opportunity to jump the queue?

I was driving through Leeton (1 1/2 hours west of Wagga Wagga) yesterday and noticed the Ford dealership had a White RS in the showroom. I called today to see if it was for sale or a customer order and it turns out it was an order, but the guy no longer wants it.

They have another customer with a whitey on order and are going to see if he wants it but his will have the black wheels/tyres option whereas the one in the showroom has the standard wheels/tyres. If he takes it, they will have the other one soon. If he doesn't, then the one in the showroom will be available. $58k on road.

My initial thoughts on the peron stage 2 v4: big difference in power! Im running the oem denied intercooler, peron 200 cell down pipe turbosmart bov (recirculating shorty type), stock airfilter with vellosatech air ram. Car pulls very strongly from about 3000rpm from second and pulls very strongly through 3rd and through all gears. It seems that the rev limiter has been increased to 7000rpm as well. The car is just as easy to drive as stock within traffic. The esc really gets a workout now, especially in 2nd. As a side note i noticed that turning esc semi off gives more boost, i believe this works with the stock ecu also. Would i recommend the peron stage 2 v4? Yes i would. Its almost double the price (after intercooler and downpipe) compared to say the ggr stage 2 but the advantage with peron is that you get free upgrades as the tune is tweaked.

The car honestly feels as i wanted it to feel from factory, aggressive and powerful. I dragged a supra last night and kept up, didn't pass him as i let off the gas around the corner ;/

Also, the ggr and peron stage 2's don't work well if you have an aftermarket actuator installed i've been told this by superchips (ggr tuner) and peron.

Hi all, new member added by Julian based in country Victoria.

Picked up my 2016 Fiesta ST on Tuesday last week in 'Performance Blue'. Stock as a rock apart from covers on the headlights and number plates. The ST replaced my LV MkII TDCi Focus, it's an entirely different little beast and a hoot to drive.

Looking at getting some Rally Armor mudflaps, I live down the end of a 150m-odd dirt driveway and the car is filthy already.

Had a set of Hella Rallye 4000 Compact spotties with a HID kit in them on the Focus, am missing them a bit, there's a shitload of roos around here (plus the odd loose cow/bull/horse and sheep).

Just an FYI guys I know now this isn t about an ST but it is about an ST part

Just an FYI guys, I know now this isn't about an ST but it is about an ST part. I own a Fiesta Metal which is just a Fiesta Zetec with a little more power and a few other things than the Zetec.

Whenever I changed gears, mainly downshifting the engine would buck and it felt like the transmission was going to drop everytime I shifted gears. This was always annoying and one thing I hated about the car.

I did some research and found I wasn't alone especially the fist guys who obviously have a lot more power than the Metal being only a 1.6 na. I ending up buying a Cobb rear engine mount for the Fiesta ST and it turns out the mounts are identical. I did look at Powerflex inserts however I didn't want the car off the road for too long and the Cobb mount wasn't too much more anyway.

I'm glad I changed the mount because not only has it made the shifts a lot more smoother and crisp, it has also tightened the engine up. It has added a little bit of vibes but nothing compared to my fost, but it still needs to be run in. This is definitely a worthwhile mod even for non ST owners

Ford have replaced the (BP) sensor twice and still was playing up along with cleaning out all wires that could be linked to the problem. It's all fine for a day or two untill you turn the car on in the morning and then the same thing again. Taking it in the morning to Ford until they actually figure out what's causing this problem. If you guys have experienced anything like this or similar and know what the solution is please comment. Sorry for the lenghty post but i need some help. Thank you in advance

Hi peeps i just catched up with fellow Fiesta ST brother Popeye Spinach. We had a chat about the st, dodgy mechanics and few other things. If you ever need some ideas on good tuners, mechanics and exhaust fabricators hit him up for some tips! Not a word of a lie his exhaust setup sounds mint, no drone, great idle burble and excellent WOT sound. His engine tune seems to be pretty sweet also. I've been hesitant to change the stock exhaust but i'm totally leaning towards going aftermarket now after seeing his ST.

BILSTEIN B14 coilover kit to suit Focus ST

FS: Bilstein B14 coilover kit for Focus ST

Hi all, now looking to sell my Bilstein B14 coiler kit now that its removed off the car.

These were installed on the car for 17 months and travelled just 12,000km. Unfortunately the front drivers strut started creaking/knocking which was diagnosed by a well known workshop.

Bilstein in Sydney gave me a price of $575/pair to rebuild them so considering that the passenger side is ok it would be reasonable to assume that to do one side would be around half that.

Lowering with the kit gives between 30-40mm. The rear on the lowest setting gives around 35mm drop and the fronts at near the highest setting which gives 30mm drop. I hadn't tested it but I'd say another 10mm in the front would be possible.

Looking for $400 ono. I am located in Brisbane but I will ship at buyers expense.

                                        Thanks

EOI: Bilstein B14 coil-over kit for Focus ST

Hi all, putting out an EOI for my Bilstein B14 coilover kit.

These have been on the car for around 15 months or so and travelled 12,000km. Unfortunately the front drivers strut has started creaking/knocking which has been diagnosed by a well known workshop.

The rears are still on the car but will potentially be removed in the next 3-4 weeks. The fronts are now off the car.

Looking for reasonable offers at this stage. I am located in Brisbane but I will ship at buyers expense.

Ford St owner, love it. I enquired about the mp215 from my dealer, with the news it is covered under my current warranty and the stats on paper, I'm strongly considering the upgrade. However, as a green P plater, the "130kw/per tonne" law will be affected as my calculations estimate a 138.8kw per tonne with the upgrade.

By upgrading with the Mountune kit, am I violating/breaking the P plate law (130kw/per tonne)?? Just confused as this kit is factory backed and is covered with the warranty. This is the only hesitation I have with committing to the upgrade.

Any advice/answers/thoughts would be appreciated :)

So owned the FoST now for a year and a half, warranty runs out in 3 months. When I bought it the kick plates in the sills didn't light up and never bothered me. Now the sound symposer has stopped working so I'll be taking it in shortly. Want to take the opportunity and getting everything fixed I can. Just not to make a fool of myself how can I be sure the kick plates are illuminated ones? I have checked on ford etis for the option and it only says 'front scuff plates'. Anyone know if there was an option for non illuminated? Or where the wiring is located so I could check for definite?

It's an event hosted by the Leukaemia Foundation, and its thanks to them and money raised through their charity that a colleague's mother has surpassed her 3month expectancy by years due to new trial medications that should cost $10,500 a month! These medications now only cost them $38 a month. There are many more out there that could use our help. This is just my small contribution. Hey NSW guys, i'm looking at organising a track day at Marulan. Just wondering if i was to book something late in April (maybe April 30) if there would be enough support between here and other pages i am on to make this viable?

Please comment below if you are interested. I would be trying to keep costs down to approx. $150/driver so we will need at least 25 drivers, maybe closer to 30.

Feel free to ask trusted friends and family if they would be interested, so long as they adhere to our strict "no dickheads" policy.

Ok because I'm so impatient and never fully satisfied I must have proof that my original tune wasn't up to scratch in my opinion,I came across Chris from E-tuners,and he managed to read my file with no real improvements, he then logged my car and performed a custom tune which I must say is night and day bearing in mind I've only just done k&n,so just make sure that when your getting your car tuned and dishing out your hard earned money make sure you are satisfied. With my tune boost is up to 22psi with only a 1psi drop timing has increased a fair amount and more fuel pumped in, responsiveness is amazing .I'm a lot happier knowing it's done right and still safe,

Next step will be straight to down pipe, hybrid turbo, manifold and intercooler.

My vehicle has now been off the road since the end of November due to an accident. The panel shop is awaiting the final 2 parts {see attached) which Ford Australia CANOT SUPPLY, even though these parts are readily available from FORD UK, I know this because I PHONED a UK Ford dealer.

The fact it took 7 weeks for an Alloy Rim to arrive is unbelievable in itself.

I contacted customer service and got absolutely nowhere. The last contact I had was from a very arrogant man, which was Tuesday 16 February, when I asked to speak to his manager, his reply first off was a straight out NO, then after much heated discussion he agreed for his manager to phone me, which would be 48 to 72 hours?????????? I have still to receive this call.

                                                          All I asked for was

A/ When will the parts be here, I am, like my repair shop still awaiting this answer

B/ If you cannot get the parts, can you take them off a vehicle you have

C/ If the above can't be done, please provide me with a loan car.

I was told in no uncertain terms a loan car would not be given as it was an "accident" not a "mechanical fault" which was keeping my car off the road. When I pointed out the only reason my car was off the road was due to Ford Australia's unability to supply the parts, I was basically told tough .

To say I am extremely disappointed and frustrated at Ford Australia's total lack of customer care on this matter is an understatement.

This is the second new Focus I have had, plus I own a 2013 Ranger, all vehicles have been serviced through my local dealer Torque Ford in North Lakes Qld, whom I might add are as frustrated as myself, but have no answer to your lack of customer service.

Will I be buying a new Ford, or recommending one, not in a million years, I feel now my only step is to go with the Media with this to warn other people, that if you do buy a Ford and have a problem good luck because they just don't CARE.

The most frustrating part in this whole matter is we went with Ford as opposed to Renault or VW, because my wife and I ASSUMED wrongly as we have found to our cost, that if we did have any problems with our vehicle , there would be no problems.

Who here hates the thought of a dealer/mechanic giving there car a complementary wash after a service?

Had the St into ford yesterday to get the RMM tsb carried out. I always have the car spotless before taking it in so they know there's no need to go near it.

While standing in the workshop with the service manager inspecting the mounts that they replaced I could see 2 older mechanics out the back washing a car. After a liberal spraying of truck wash (bye bye wax) they then continued to wash it with a mop! For fuck sake lads, could u give less of a shit about someone's car?

Glad it wasn't mine I then walked around the corner to find the cheapest runniest tire slick all over my tires, rims and up the side of the car? How can someone be that fucking dumb to look at a perfectly clean car and think hmm I know what this needs. Ballbags!!

Does anyone have a Pro Alloy or Airtec intercooler installed on their FiST?

It's time to start modding and although they are overkill for a stock turbo I'd like to future proof myself in case of any crazy upgrades in the future.

Given they are a similar price I was curious to see if there is any noticeable differences when installed with the stock turbo or it's more of a cool cosmetic upgrade?

Hey guys I got for sale my old front bumper bar. It came off my 2012 ST which had about 55000km.

I had a Maxton lip, the reason for the holes on the bottom. There is also a few scrape marks on the bottom which I've touched up. There is also 2 spots where the lip had come away after hitting a cat at 80km/h.

None of the imperfections on the bottom can be seen while the bar is on the car.

The rest of the bar is in pretty good condition but could do with a good polish.

Front bar ONLY! No grilles, badge, loom, for lights.

Hey guys, I've just copped myself a fresh Fiesta ST 2015 MY16, any advice on how to drive it for the first 3,000km (In general to wear it in properly)?? I was told to drive it without hitting boost until 100km, and not go over 4kRpm till 3,000km. I've been hitting boost here and there when the engine is warm, but am i causing damage through the gears or anything?

Could anyone give me some hints/tips as this is my first (brand new) turbo car? I obviously don't plan to thrash it and am in need of good advice so i can get the best out of this car for the next 5-6 years :)

Hi guys, just passing on some info about a Show & Shine in Sydney on January 16.

I run a team in the Nulon Nationals event and round 1 is a Motorkhana on the skid pan at SMSP. As part of the event, there is a Show & Shine and I have been told to extend an invite to members here as they are looking for a diverse range of makes & models to be on show. Last year over 1000 people turned up to view both events.

Entry costs are covered by Nulon so essentially it is a free event and there will be prizes on offer.

Should you be interested details are in the official release posted below

                                                                        Hi All,

Im done for the year on taking my car to the track. I managed 4 trackdays three at wakefield and one at eastern creek. I need some assistance im quite sure some one on here has experience the samething as me. The caliper dust seal is completely burned off. Do you know were i can get spares to replace them. I have called ford spare parts and they dont sell them. They suggested to get new calipers which are not cheap $400+ for left and $300+ for right. If you know a place please let me know. For next year i will work out a way to get better cooling to the brakes. Please see the state of my seals.

                                                                        %d comments

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this.

Went to the mechanic to change my steering wheel on Saturday morning. Didn't end up doing it as he was worried about causing faults and throwing codes, he wants an auto electrician to deal with it.

If someone was to take out the fuses for airbags, steering wheels controls, unplug and puts the exact same part back that was taken out, and then fuses back in, will this cause faults and codes to come up on the dash? I can't see how it would, thinking along the lines of every time a fuse is changed having to reset codes sounds silly, but maybe I am missing something.

Sorry for the long winded explanation.

                                                                          %d comments

                                                                            Photos from David Wiseman's post

Hey guys I just completed my front brakes. Took me about 4 hours to complete. The XR5 rotors fitted up 100% so I can confirm that they do fit. The pads like I said were listed for the Ford Kuga mkll TDCI but fit the ST as they share the same brake setup.

Initial testing of the brakes are good. I can't say if they're an improvement over stock but they definitely didn't affect it negatively. Hopefully brake dust will be reduced.

So for $440 total for the rotors and pads, it's another option for us. Bear in mind I could have gone for standard rotors which would have been cheaper but I thought I may as well spend a little bit extra and get something better.

                                                                            %d comments
