H reg 1990 series 2 rs turbo rolling shell

All glass (minus windscreen) is all matching and etched with correct markings

Rear light clusters matched etchings with glass.

£1000 spent on welding last year

- rear chassis legs

- rear valance

- o/s inner + outer sill and half floor

- n/s inner + outer sill and floor pans

- battery tray and fuse box plate welded

- new front panel and crossmember

Doors and boot lid in decent condition

Small dent in one of the sills, not seen with bodykit on

Complete bodykit and rear bumper + spoiler

I have a couple of front bumpers that I'll throw in, they may be repairable

This is JUSTAFFORDS ex track car and used to have a 1.8 zetec engine. Videos can be seen on YouTube under the name 'sco77yrs' pictures show how it used to look.

I have the logbook and the colour plate off the front panel but I bought the car without the chassis plate. I am told these can be bought.

The car is rolling, with 4 rs turbo wheels, suspension is koni (or similar) but is in need of a rebuild or replacement. I have the brake cylinder and front brakes albeit not on the car.

Basically 95% of welding has been done, with only minor aesthetic tidying and paint required. The sunroof has been badly patched so will need attention - not my work!

My intention was to rebuild it into a track car, so holes have been re-drilled for a 6-point cage. Could be patched back up if new Owner wished.

Sad to see it go, I've done all the hard work however I've fallen for my focus so this has to go. Ideal donor shell

All other parts have been sold so please don't ask. Sale is for a rolling shell (no bonnet) I have a slightly rough dashboard (half flocked with a switch plate mounted to it) and a set of blue silicone hoses that I'll throw in if new owner wants them

Will need trailering away, cash on collection from Cannock, Staffs

Please note an engine has been fitted and then removed so the engine bay could do with a blow over when the car gets done.

Octoral Paint Issues

My car was painted last year in my friends bodyshop, we used a Max Meyers Filler Primer, then used Max Meyers 3011 primer, the base coat was Octobase in Ford 411 Radiant Red, Clear Coat was C500 HS420 Superb Clear Coat, H25 HS420 Hardener Medium and a TA910 Thinner Standard, everything after the primer was Octoral. Towards the end of November the car was moved to the lower workshop which is colder and can be damp when it rains at which point there were no micro blisters.

I noticed some very small micro blisters in the clearcoat a couple of weeks later, we were able to scratch the base and clear away from the primer with a finger nail, and completely peel the paint off using a blade, there doesn't appear to be any adhesion between the base coat and the primer.

An E type Jaguar was primed ( Max Meyers 3011 ) at the same garage and then painted at another body shop it was then returned and put in the lower workshop with my car, when I noticed the micro blisters in mine they checked the Jaguar and the paint had blistered and was coming off in exactly the same way as mine did.

Octoral are blaming the bodyshop, the painter, the booth, the prep, the primer etc etc etc, basically everything other than their paint and don't seem interested in my issues at all ! The bodyshop I used paint 100's of car each year and have never had anything like this happen with any of their customers cars, but they don't use Octoral paint.

My car was finished and fully rebuilt apart from a few small jobs, but is now stripped back to a bare shell awaiting blasting to remove the rest of the paint I couldn't scrape off with a blade, I have removed all the paint from the outside of the vehicle with nothing more than safety blade !

Has anyone had any similar issues with Octoral paint ( seems to be just base and clear coat ) if so I would like to know so I can try and build a case against them.

If not I would strongly advise against using it just in case you have the same issue

    who on here has proven 200bhp+ CVH RS's? and what did it take to get them there ... mine goes in for a set up this week and will put it on a rolling road after to see what figures are, just wondering what I can realistically expect? ... my set up is ....

    hybrid T3 - 360 bearing .48 housing running 1 bar of boost

    loads more but think that's the main bits

      Does anyone know much about wheel spacers?? As you can see in the pic my wheel is lost in the rear arch. problem is I've measured the gap from tyre to arch approx 65mm, so question 1 do they make spacers that large?? Question 2 is a spacer that large a cause for damage?

      Best recommendation on quality parts would be great too thanks

                For all you guys who run there RS through the winter. I am not keen on mud flaps, however without them the side skirts get thrashed with road salt and stones. I got a quote for painting them, and would cost about £150, however looked into new parts and I got them for £75 a side.

                My point is, no point in getting them painted after the winter, just replace them with genuine parts, cheaper and easier.

                        Back in 1999 I owned the Fiesta (on the right) but soon after bought my best friend's Escort (on the left). In 2001 because of not handling my finances very well I ended up having to sell the Escort (for £12,000). Now older and financially sorted I am kicking myself for letting it go. The chances of me owning it again are pretty slim but I have plenty of pictures to mourn over! So, don't sell your Cossie, (or get into debt owning one) you might regret it!
