OK so after a failure of my alternator a few months back the car let us down a couple of weeks back during the cold spell (2.0tdci) so looked at the battery that was on... (see picture) the ah and cca was only low so I've put a 80ah 800cca on and its made such a difference to the running of the car.... smoothly idles now where as had a occasional misfire when idling before... happy chappy :-)

I've seen a few posts regarding tyre pressures on here, mainly saying the suggested pressures are too low.

Any advise? As to be honest I've had my 2007 2.0tdci cc3 for 3 years and I put new Goodyear efficiency grip performance on about 2 and half years ago and have swapped them front to rear once and have had no uneven tyre wear at all.

          Thanks

(Any mods, at all lol) Spoke to Prestige and XXX regarding a quote, with the mods listed, Prestige have almost matched my renewal from my current insurer which didn't even cover any modifications and have beaten the best quote I could find elsewhere including them as well! has anyone had issues with the car and a failing main battery? I've had gremlins the last few weeks. aircon system resetting itself and now I went to treat the roof seals and the roof wont lower. Fault code of side latch failed but the boot will jog open in service mode. I'm trying to rule out things before shelling out money

We have just been reading about the new car tax regs from April...what I just do not understand is where on earth is the incentive to buy a low emission car, and for the car manufacturers to produce them, as the sales guys will, in my opinion simply include the first years tax in the new price as an incentive. Has the government gone crazy, or has Jeremy Clarkson been involved??

                    **now sold **

It's with some regret I'm selling my CC2 and so I have a genuine foldaway windbreak with original storage bag for sale.

Would prefer a collection/pick up but will post if buyer pays additional postage (I'd parcel it and get you an exact postage quote. It's big and heavy so it'll cost you a bit of extra money.)

                    £100 plus the postage.

I read on the forum that the windbreak is a standard fit for all CCs 1,2,3.

I've only taken a picture of the outside of the bag but I'm happy to send a few pics of it in or out of the car if that's needed for peace of mind.

PM me here and we can work out details.

Hi, I'm a fairly new CC owner and I was wondering if another 2.0 petrol owner would like to meet up around the Nottinghamshire area.

Reason being is I have a wonderful 60 plate but I think it's not running right and I have nothing to compare the power to as it feels very sluggish.

It's been to Ford who have updated the software but I think it's still underpowered.

I don't mind traveling and I'll even buy the breakfasts

Just had a new battery fitted to my 58 CC3 Diesel. Not bad for original battery but 2 heated screens, heated mirrors & heated seats have taken their toll.

Unfortunately radio's now asking for a code. Wasn't transferred from the previous owner and TCH Ford Derby want £15 and 3 days to "order" the code. Did I see somewhere on this forum or on the Focus Owners website a place where you can get them from?

Hi guys, I'm having some problems with my 2008 cc3 2.0 diesel.

She's been stood for a few weeks and when I went to start her on Thursday the battery was flatter than a flat thing. It'd been on its way for a while so I splashed out on a shiny new one.

Had to do the usual reset on the windows but everything else seemed OK . Until I came to get back in on Friday.

The drivers door refuses to unlock unless I climb in the passenger side and open it from the inside. Once opened it works fine until it gets locked again when I have to go through the passenger door rigmarole once again. Any ideas?

Hi all, come on here looking for a bit of reassurance, had my CC2 2ltr. petrol for about 9 months now. Love it to bits but l'm worried to death. I read all the posts on here and all the electrical issues different people seem to have, This is something thats bothered me over the last few years whatever make or model of car l'v had. I'm very much old school and would be over the moon if my CC had the old plugs n points etc. I'm on the verge of selling the CC and getting an older car but as l said l love the CC. Some of the comments on here hav'nt helped me, it seems daily members are saying "I'v had enough" and are getting rid of theirs. Come on members tell me these electical issues are not as bad as l seem to think they are. Can't cope with lights flashing up on the dashboard. Help please. lol.

Help and advice please. I just purchased and installed xtron android 5.1 and all the button do not illuminate. I contacted supplier from eBay today and stated

Please refer to the below info on how to make the buttons illuminate

When connected correctly the illumination function allows the buttons to illuminate at night.

Please see the forum.xtrons guide below

                            http://forum.xtrons.co.uk/forum_posts.asp?TID=1390 31&title=illumination-function-connection

The orange wire is the illumination wire, this needs to be wired into the illumination circuit of your vehicle, this allows the screen to dim and the buttons to illuminate when the vehicle lights are on.

Using a multi vehicle test the connection to find one receiving a 12V feed when the vehicle headlights are switched on, connect this wire to the orange illumination wire from the stereo.

In some cases the vehicle wire will also be orange, please be sure to test carefully as damage due to incorrect installation may void the warranty, if in any doubt please seek professional advice.

Slightly annoying as stating will void warranty if I cut as it was meant to be plug and play and sold for Ford Focus. It shows on manual of changing button colour on certain models in settings but this model appears not to have it even though it cost £50 more than others for a Ford Focus they sold.

Looks like my DPF is at the end of its "useful" life. The car only did 63,000 miles and the "check engine" light came on!

                                Wondering what my options are:

                                1. Delete the bugger and potentially having issues with MoT

                                2. Replace with new one (sounds like it'll cost half of the car's price)

                                3. Get cheap Chinese DPF (from Cats2u and the like)

                                4. Throw 100 notes for deep clean and hope for the best.

                                5. Part-ex the car

                                What would you recommend?

Oh, the car is CC2 2.0 TDCI.

Paid £50 for dab option but unable to pick up any radio stations on the searches. I fitted the manufacturers dab optional ariel out of site behind the pillar. Anyone had this issue and managed to successfully achieve it. I ideally wanted dab as the reception on normal radio is poor. Many thanks.

I looked at buying 2008 Focus cc yesterday, and there is small dents in each corner of the rear roof.

The owner says there is a design fault and it,s the hood touching when the hood opens.

This doesn't sound correct, I,m guessing the roof linkage has worn and best not to buy.

Is there adjustments on the linkage, if so anyone know how to do this or anyone that can.?

Just went out in my cc and when I returned noticed a line of liquid on the drive up to where my car was parked. Presumably my car left the trail when I reversed out. I did put my air on on as I left as it was cold and the car misted up. But the trail seems too substantial for air con in that short time. I looked under the bonnet and all fluids are fine and there is no sign of leaks. I have a fused neck so I can't bend to see under the car. Anyone else had a similar situation?

But then when using the roof... the passenger window goes all the way down while the other three go down about a inch and all videos from YouTube when activating roof all windows come down about an inch roof does its business then they come back up ! Where my passenger window does not come back up ?

Is this right on the process the bit where it drops about an inch ?

Or all models different ? as I take it I do have a switch electrical prob some where !

I switched off, waited a minute or so, she fired up right as rain, l used her all day with no more interuptions. Seems it only happens on cold damp mornings, has anyone else encountered this problem and if so is there a remedy, thanks in advance.
