Photos from Jeffery Mitchell's post — FORD F100 AUSTRALIA

So today i removed the cab wiring loom from the 89 f150 for the efi windsor to go in my 81 and in the process i spilt my coffee in the cab. I removed the seat and removed and cleaned carpet. The cab still had the old insulation so removed that aswell and found rust starting on drivers floor pan. Thats been cleaned and painted.

Now when i got parts for the windsor from bronco grave yard they had this sound deading/heat insulation, apparently doesnt hold water etc so in its goin to see how good it is!!

Sometimes u can get carried away with f truck

Debating which engine game to play — FORD F100 AUSTRALIA

Debating which engine game to play..

After picking up my 83 bronco xlt a month or so ago, its going in for its roadworthy tomorrow and should pass with flying colors.

Its currently got a 351 and 3 speed auto.

I'm currently debating whether to chase up a stock 460 and drop that in or get a 351 built.

I will be running it on LPG, will most likely be my daily driver, as I use my triton for off roading and shooting (its a lot more capable).

So bronco will get used for daily and towing my jet ski along, however I would like it to have a bit of get up and go when I do mash the loud pedal.

It sounds faster than it currently is as the 3.2 turbo diesel triton leaves it behind

            1980 F100 long wheel base. — FORD F100 AUSTRALIA

This Effy is in immaculate condition and has been very well kept over the duration. It was re-upholstered about 5-6 years ago and the paint work is sensational. Now you could buy a $10k car and spend 15k and twelve months doing it up, or drive this one away and enjoy the experience. I am running the sunraysias but also have 22" 180 spokes as shown. Would look good if the car was lowered but can be negotiated on if you want them at extra cost. Pm me for discussion, but no swaps and/or ridiculous offers. Rocket sports trucks described this as "the best one he had seen here or in the states in 10 years".

            Always garaged and maintained well.

Hey everyone — FORD F100 AUSTRALIA

              Hey everyone,

Dingo & Chris are running this fundraiser on the 5th of March for our 26 year old friend Joel that served in the Australian Army, he had an accident whilst off duty and left him a quadriplegic.

Joel spent 6 weeks last year at Project Walk (a Paralysis & Rehabilitation Center) in California where he showed a great amount of progress & movement in his legs.

Both Joel and his partner/ carer Elisa are heading back to Project Walk in late March to spend 6 months straight to gain more movement & mobility.

The cost for the rehab alone in $1,400 US per week and unfortunately the Australian Army does not cover Joel's medical expenses as he was off duty at the time.

This Car & Bike event will depart the Diamond Creek then head to Yarra Glen, Toolangi, Flowerdale & St Andrews. It will be an awesome 'Car & Bike show on wheels' with door prizes, heaps of raffle items up for grabs & auctions for big ticket items!

Adults $20 & kids come for the ride

All proceeds & donations go straight to Joel's rehabilitation

Please register before the 24th of Feb so we can inform Flowerdale Hotel of numbers as lunch can be purchased there.

Many thanks to Kirk Scott Mobile Mechanic who came to my rescue when my old 77 broke down in the driveway of my storage area. Couldn't restart or push it out of the traffic area. Rang him at 7pm and he came out straight away without hesitation. Fixed a broken accelerator cable, tinkered with the carby to get her to run after sitting idle and proved that a new fuel gauge reading full isn't necessarily so. The price you pay for someone else's project sitting for too long. Kirk likes working on old cars and is very patient when repairing them lol. Very thankful .. If you are on the Central Coast or in Newcastle area and you have an Effie problem you can't fix yourself try him

Jared Hart came round last night to borrow a spare I had. Turns out he had a spare sandwich plate for an oil cooler! Picked it up this morning, the sealing face was a bit how ya going so I gave it a quick lap with some 240 grit and wd40 and it came up alright. So now the oil cooler is all up and running sweet as! The test this afternoon will be the 150km drive out to Toowoomba with a tub full of gear. I'm only interested in a 10 degree temp reduction and I reckon this will do it. On other news, bit pissed off as I changed the speedo drive gear and it stripped before I could even get out the driveway! This is really starting to give me the shits. I read there is a steel gear available, might look around for it.

Fellas! In need of some advice on lifting my 2wd 76.

I have 33's on it, raised front coils and also have the standard 3" 4wd lift blocks to put in the rear.

However i need some direction on the front i beam setup as it has some toe in now and still needs another 2 inches of lift.

It will get decent offroad abuse so i want it to have good clearance between the tyres and gaurds.

Was thinking of making some new i beam pivot brackets an inch or 2 lower than the standard brackets to account for the toe in. Has anyone tried this??

Orrr does anyone just have an i beam lift kit for sale at all?? Lol

I know you can get them in 3-4-5" from autofab in the states but i don't want to fork out 2+ grand for it if theres a simpler solution.

                                    Any help is much apreciated.

Surely theres a few lifted 2wd's getting around?

Buying and selling stuff, especially cars and bikes, used to be fun.

Someone would advertise something. Tell you how much they wanted for it. If you were interested you'd have a look. Decide what you thought it was worth. Make an offer, maybe a bit of back and forth and come to a deal....or not.

No one even knows if they're selling something now days. Everyone is thinking about it. Don't think too fuckin hard ! They won't put a price on the item incase the dumbest cahnt ever comes along and offers 73 times what it's worth. Righto. Or if they're buying and you tell them how much you want they'll offer a third.....without having even seen what they're supposedly in the market for.

The fun is gone. People are fucked. Some need a punch in the face.

No I haven't been buying or selling today or yesterday or last week. Just an observation.

I'm goin out in the Effy

I've had this 1976 F250 lwb 4 speed manual, 302c now for about a month. Lots of work has been done, from new uni-joints, new-old brake booster and master cylinder, new slave cylinder and clutch master, new copper hose joining the clutch master and slave, brakes have been bleed (and it was filthy), hand brake fixed, replaced grill, replaced right dash facier (although the replacement is a glue & patch job), radiator flushed of rusty water and replaced with demineralised water & anti corrosion coolant. I've replaced the hoses, just waiting on the arrival of the top hose filter. New West Coast style left side mirror, new radiator cap, new lockable fuel cap, new plugs and leads, new oil filter and oil change.

Today's job so far has been to remove the carpet to check and clean the floor pans (see before & after photos): this was covered in a think layer of shit, and there is only slight surface rust on the driver's side. I'll insert new brown door cards and a spare black bench as the one that came with the truck is rooted. The panels around the rear lights are badly dented so a slide hammer will be needed to pull them out. In saying that the rear lights still fit so I'll insert those today. All globes replaced and working.

So this old thing has been unregistered for 7 years, and sitting for 3 years out at Coonabarabran since it's one owner passed.

The body is rough and needs to be fully sanded as there are patches that require welding - which I can't do. Whilst I am assured the bed is solid, the transporter flipped the canopy on its roof in the tub which it still is and as I've yet to get some mates help me remove it.

The top of the tub rails require replacement, and there is bog in some areas which I am not sure why exactly as I have removed some and the panels underneath are clean. The right lip of the bonnet (about 6 inches) is bog (you may be able to make it out in the video).

It needs new door, window and screen rubbers, and new tyres. So it's certainly a project truck which is salvageable but with the body-work which I can't do I'm feeling a bit over it, and I've dumped it at my sister's place which as you can guess she's starting to crack the shits.

Sorry if this stuff bores you guys. The wife just cant appreciate it, as much as she tries. I don't want to tell her this took 6 hours today. Because I cut so much of the original dash apart, I decided to make a steel frame to reinforce it. This will basically allow me to take the whole thing on and off any time by just removing 4-6 bolts. Boring I know.

We have had this truck 3 years and love it. Purchased to transport the trailer 4 times per year. It was completely standard from the original owner when we bought it and all the upgrades have been over the last 3 years, so it has only been used to tow for about 10K km’s of its life. The truck gloss black from the factory and is currently wrapped in satin black vinyl with company logos, the logo can be removed to leave just the satin, or the whole lot can come off back to gloss black. We’d estimate the upgrades totaling around $30K.

                                                    G'day guys,

I'm looking for a 2 barrel Stromberg carby to suit a 250 xflow but google and eBay are being temperamental little shits.

I've put in a few enquires with some wreckers to see if they've come across one in decent order.

My xflow is currently running a single barrel version. It's works just fine, but I wanted to amp it up a bit.

I am trying to work out why there are two spade terminal wires going to my starter motor when the starter itself only has one terminal on it.

                                                          It is a 77 F250 With a 351 in it.

                                                          Any help would be appreciated

302 or 351, how to tell?

                                                                          So I have a 76 LWB 351 (or so I was told). But apparently the 351 wasn't in the f100 until 79?

So I went and look at my rego and yes it say 4.9ltr (302 right?)

Yet after having my transmission serviced last week I got told I have an AOD (not until 79?)not a C6.

Guess it could of been replaced at some point down the years, but is there a simple way to find out if I have a 302 or 351?

                                                                          Cheers

When the truck is warm, and stopped in traffic, or when i lift my foot off the accelerator to stop, IAC opens. I understand that its job is to open when the engine is needing air to keep the revs up when the throttle body is closed. If I don't keep the revs up when stopped in traffic/lights, the IAC opens and makes a 'whoosh' sound and the truck sometimes stalls. Ive taken the IAC apart and cleaned it with carb cleaner and still no change. Is it opening too fast?? Is it rooted? Anyone got any idea?? Engine is an AU 4L efi straight six.
