So next weekend marks the birth of my second B series xr6, I will be starting a build thread on it for all to see.

As it sits, its a petrol/gas combo (gas will be removed), paint has seen better days, auto box has a leak in the rear, and all the xr trim and speedo has been replaced for xt trim (not for long though), no front bar which sucks.

Main goal is to fix it up, put a 6 speed manual in it, it will be used as my daily but also my drift car until I buy something else. I recently won a competition for a free front bash bar to protect the motor if I ever crashed (knock wood), will also be looking at coil overs/camber kits.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask :)

So a few important questions were asked just before about tomorrows cruise.

1st one was about the meet time and location.

    10-10:30 at The Gap McDonald's

2nd was are we stopping for lunch.

Unfortunately we are not, it is a bring your own for the trip or pig out at Maccas lol there is a shopping centre next to Maccas also.

3rd and most importantly, cars running e85 mainly, there isn't a united servo out there, so would suggest to stock up :) who doesn't love the smell of e85 haha

Any other questions, feel free to drop a comment or send me a message :)

      Righto boys

      Righto boys

Your just all a deadset bunch of good cu#ts so I've got a bit of a question here

Tomorrow some time I'll be receiving a brand new Haltech Elite 2000 with full loom in the mail (unfortunately it's not mine)

And I've got to wire it into a mates rig for him

Now the question being is have any of you done it before and do I have to plug it into a laptop to set it all up before initial start up or will it start up itself and then I can plug a computer into it and play with stuff I shouldn't

      Cheers

Ever wondered what it would be like to have heaps of friends and be super popular with the ladies and police?

Well, if you buy my externally gated rear housing you will find out.

Wonderfully stitched up genuine Tial V44 external gate onto a factory Ford GT3576 rear housing.

Bolt this bad boy on and watch all of the females flock towards your car and throw their underwear everywhere.

But if you're actually serious, inbox me and shoot an offer. The gate has a 25psi spring in it. Doesn't have a screamer pipe.

Alright. Last night was pretty successful and thanks again to everyone who showed up and participated.

However, guys. There is an instant prejudice against car people from the public and the police. No matter what, everyone thinks we are hoons and demons.

Please, we need to break those views and be respectful when we are in public car parks and areas. Last night we almost had residents call the police on us, now that was partly my fault for fucking us around with streets and destinations, however powerskids and shit have to stop.

Yeah I'm being the fun police but when there's 30+ modified cars in one spot/group we get attention. Instantly, nothing can change that.

General dosing while cruising is a completely different story. Powerskids and limiter bashing for days in busy car parks isn't on. There's a time and place and we can find somewhere for that.

This is a general call for everyone. Use common sense please guys, I'm sure doing a skid isn't worth having a bunch of cops come down and literally fuck everyone's cars.

Cause I'm sure as hell no one will be happy if we all get in trouble from one person, cause I know my car isn't exactly legal.

We had an awesome turnout last night, again 30+ cars, we had families from all across Brisbane young and old. We had ENTHUSIASTS, good people. Let's make sure we all look good when we are together, change what the media say about car meets and people.

Thanks guys, the next southern meet is in the works currently and will be far more organised.

Hey guys. Bit of a read sorry

Hey guys! Bit of a read, sorry.

Just wanna say a massive super thank you to everyone who showed up tonight! Awesome effort with like 30+ cars!

I'm pretty sure tonight was the biggest meet this page has had so far.

Sorry for the fucking around with moving and that once we got to the destination, totally my bad I didn't scope the area at night time. It's noted for next time.

Thank you all for being patient and chilled out with it though!

Little bit rough about the cops on the drive to the point, I know someone got shafted pretty hard. Not cool, but it's a reminder to us all that sometimes we need to chill out a bit. Nothing wrong with a bit of fun but we do need to be careful and scope the area out first.

Other than that little bit of bad news from the cops everyone was pretty well behaved, THANK YOU, no cops were called or anything.

Again, thank you heaps guys. This will be a monthly thing, the next one is in the works already and it will be a lot more structured. This was a test and it was pretty awesome.

Also please bring the doggo back, I miss her already. So soft, so good. But yeah cars and shit fuck yeah.

Guys I just wanna stress that tonight is a fairly large meet and we will be in busy public spaces.

I'm not your parents and I don't plan on being, I hate to sound like a little bitch but let's keep it cool tonight.

Please, please, don't be a hero tonight and do skids and shit on the cruise, at least not when we are all in sight of everyone. Common sense prevails.

General dosing and a little bit of fun is all good but there's a limit of attention we want to bring to ourselves.

We have over 30 cars coming tonight, it's a group large enough to get unwanted attention drawn on us purely for the number of cars we have. The Victoria Point cruise location is a fairly quiet but popular area. Let's make sure we are welcome back.

Let's make tonight a safe and fun night, I don't want anyone copping a defect of impound notice tonight when we could just play it cool and be all sweet.

Hey everyone just letting you guys know the Southside Monthly Meet is on this Saturday, I know a lot of you are coming already and that is excellent.

If you've never been to a meet up for any reason please come down, it's a friendly environment where we can all come together and check out some cool cars and meet some new people.

IMPORTANT SHIT - Enter Garden City by the Kessels Road entrance (turn right at the lights on Logan Road, take the first entrance on the left) you WILL see my car and my tall lanky white body flapping about every time I see a Ford.

We will be cruising after the meet to Old Cleveland Lighthouse, it's approx 20(ish)km away, but it's a nice area and super chill.

                ALSO IMPORTANT SHIT -

                - This is a friendly environment, please don't come and be a dick, we are all here for the good stuff, meeting cool people and looking at sick cars.

                - Since our meet place and cruise destination are both very public places PLEASE PLEASE behave behind the wheel at Garden City and at the Lighthouse. We don't want a bad name or to ruin future use of the areas and we DO NOT want unneeded attention from Police.

                - Be respectful

                - Come say hello

                - HAVE A GREAT NIGHT

                Thanks guys,

Can't wait to see you all. Please click attending if you are coming, as we may have to change cruise location if we get a heap more people coming.

You guys and girls have been great and I hope that I can still be part of this group. Because in the next month or two I will given a brand new car because I helped a family who needed furniture and house appliances. After I helped them and said I don't want anything in return sadly his uncle has passed away and left him money he is blessing me with a new car of my choice and as such I am getting a wrx premium 8 speed and my falcon will be going to a friend of mine who has spent a small fortune to get his wife from the phillipeans and as such they don't have a car and I am blessing them with the falcon. Shhhh they don't know that yet :p

BATTERY!!! What recommendation does everyone give as in what battery is worthwhile? Go lead, or calcium? And what model battery.

                            57EF with 2 years warranty 420CCA $160

                            67EF with 3 years warranty 620CCA $180

                            Both are Maintenance free calcium....

57EF with 2 years lead screw top battery 420CCA $140

Leaning towards the Calcium battery, but just wondering others preference, pros and cons. No hate please. This is a genuine question. :-)

                                Yo fellow Ford enthusiasts.

I've had a bit of work done to my car over the last few days and now I'm having some alignment/braking issues.

I've got BF front calipers on my BAmk2, with new DBA T2 slotted rotors and Bendix pads all round. And now at speed it will pull to the right when I brake. It's kinda worrying.

What could be the go there?

Also had new rubber fitted but the tyre shop didn't do an alignment because some of my bushes under the car are worn and they straight up wouldn't do it. So it shakes going above 60kmh but settles down at 100kmh

Who can help a brother out? Would greatly appreciate it.

G'day fellow enthusiasts. What's with all the drama going on lately. Isn't this a page for people to share there cars and thoughts with other people. Half the people here didn't see the original post where this so called bullying happened. I find it kinda appalling that people can jump to conclusions and take sides without knowing what actually happened? People sending "threatening" private messages to other members of the group. Use can drop to tough act cause we all know no ones going to do anything about it. Trents a nice guy but he needs to accept the fact that he can't stand back and let everyone fight his own battles.

On another note let's leave all this crap behind us and drop the most recent photo of your car below. Have a great day guys!

Don't forget, Club FPV Brisbane have their cruise on this Sunday and you're invited!

Departing QR at 9am and heading to *Rick's Garage up North (Theres a chance this'll change to montville pub due to parking and numbers).

                                        Cruise is free.

However we're also running a 'cruise quiz' and lunchtime trivia with prizes ranging from signed diecast models to hi-octane track passes! (Prize pool is worth around $300)

Cost is $10pp for those who wish to enter and every entrant gets a novelty/custom keyring valued at $10ea! Keyrings are in the shape of Nos bottles, brake rotors, pistons, wheels etc

The cruise quiz is a great way to get your passengers involved and keep them entertained on the drive up as it'll take around 2 hours or so to get up to the destination for lunch, stopping at bald hills for e85 along the way for anyone who needs it and redbank plains KFC for anyone who doesn't wish to come all the way out to QR at the starting point.

Money raised goes to paying for the lunch of the photographers we've invited to come along and shoot the day ✌️

For any extra info there's another post on this page you can search for or simply post your question in the comments

Sam Denk shared Deb Browne's event to the group: Ford Club QLD ( Official State Page ).

Hey! So this saturday is the cruise to The Spit. Because there are unfortunately no BBQ's available to use, my girlfriend, Crystal, has generously extended the offer to Samantha and Deb to provide a heap of sandwiches as lunch on the day for everyone attending.

The sandwiches would be, egg salad, ham and tomato, ham and cheese, etc. It's completely ok if people want to bring their own food, or even bring other foods to share around the group.

Just thought I'd let everyone know this will be available on the day!

                                            Cheers, Sam and Crystal. :)

I have spoken to ALL involved and i have made the decision not to ban the members given that I know the FULL story from ALL sides. This has dragged on enough and I am f**king over it. All future posts around this matter will be deleted. It has been dealt with and that's final. If you dont like my decision DO NOT vent about it on the page. You're welcome to leave the club if it's not for you but this high school bulls**t has to stop. DO NOT comment below with any negative comments. It's done I dealt with it and that is final. If you dont like it leave.

                                                    Hi All,

I've been in contact with Samantha Jay Hart and Club FPV Brisbane have been given the go ahead to invite Ford Club QLD along for our first cruise of 2017 - The following is a direct copy of our event description.

                                                    Date: 26/2/17

                                                    Time: 0900

                                                    Start point: Queensland Raceway

As promised, here's the official event for our first cruise of 2017.

We will head off after the Hi-Octane laps session in the morning after everyone has had a chance to grab brekky and a coffee.

From there we will head to Redbank KFC and meet up with other members who don't wish to trek out to QR to meet with us - so you know, you'll be putting yourself at a disadvantage with our 'cruise quiz' if you wish to pick a meeting point that isn't the start point.

After meeting at KFC we will head to united at Bald Hills so our E85 runners can fill up their tanks and jerry cans for the cruise up to Rick's Garage for lunch - this'll give us a HUGE opportunity for rolling shots and videos.

During lunch we will collect the quizzes and see how everyone went and over lunch we will have a trivia session!

Between trivia and the cruise quiz, prizes are:

For those who've not seen it, a lot have continuously said how clean the RSpec is...

In 3 years it has never been polished or waxed and it was riddled with the factory installed swirls among some that were picked up over the years.

Over the last 3* days of 2016 I decided to try my hand at paint correction.

What did I use? My neighbors DAS-6 pro, 2 x different polishing pads and some menzerna equipment.

What did I not have? A proper work area, proper lighting, a paint depth gauge or any real previous experience.

The rspec ended up about 80% improved with still a few blemishes around it - which was to be expected given it was all guess work and bloody hot as well... but all in all a significant improvement.

What did I learn? A new appreciation for detailers and the effort that goes into correcting a car! Sure, they've got the experience and the equipment to make it quicker and easier, but it's still an extremely physical job... and takes a LOT of patience.

So when you're asking a detailer about their prices and it seems exorbitant, just remember that it can take hours or even days to complete a car (depending what you want/need)... what do you get paid in the period of time they're doing work on your car? They have over heads... what about the products they're using? Or the facility they're working out of or the vehicle they're using to get to you with their stock on board?

All that factored in with insurances and public liabilities that your mate of a mate doesn't have, all add up.

There's no real point behind this post other than sure, give it a go and try for yourself (risking damage if you don't have patience, the right equipment or a clue) or when getting quotes from a professional, take a step back and take into account that they will be doing works you're either not capable of doing or prepared to do yourself.

*all work was done under a carport, in 40+ degree heat, sitting on a milk crate... a lot of sweating AND swearing was involved. The neighbors 4yr old learnt a few new words in the process.

I went with hpr5 full synthetic oil by penrite. Its completely changed the way the car drives its so much better to drive. I used to get it serviced at the ford wreckers at clontarf and they told me they use gulf western. Thanks for the advice guys i really appreciate it.

I've noticed alot of people have wide nice sitting wheels on the rear of their cars but then the fronts kind of get 'forgotten'. Coming from owning an S15 I found alot of JDM groups focused on front and rear wheels sitting pretty with the guard.

Does anyone have any insight as to why the ADM scene seems to shy away from 'fitment' front wheels or why you yourself personally haven't chosen to go wider fronts on your Ford? - thanks!

If you haven't seen already, Paolo has got some upcoming events at Norwell - The Driving Centre.

I've had a similar idea before seeing these posted but only recently got the chance to meet with and talk to the guys at Norwell about putting on a private event which would be hosted by Torque Time for Club FPV Brisbane and we'd like to extend the invitation.

How would you like to work your way up to putting yourself and your car through its paces in a more "street sprint" oriented event?

What about testing your throttle control on a wet track on the skid pan as well?

Here's the package I've thought up and spoken to the guys about.

Half day - 4 hour package

2 x instructors - 'ducks and drakes' setup it is also referred as... where they swap between cars and give people tuition at various points through the day - racing lines, when to brake, when to power out, out-in-out cornering etc

7 cars on track for roughly 10-12 minute sessions per group consisting of:

1-2 x practice or warmup laps

                                                                        4-5 "hot laps"

                                                                        1-2 cool down laps

This'll give everyone PLENTY of room on track as well as keep the sessions short enough to not wear you, or your brakes etc out too quickly.

Skid pan - Water NOT diesel based

Have a track laid out (sort of like a motorkhana in the wet) that can be run by us while instructors and other members are on track. This would be a timed event, with penalties for hitting cones.

End of the day we run a friendly sprint (lap amount to be determined but most likely 2 laps or so per person) to see what people have learnt in their cars over the day.

Helmet hire would be included in the price for anyone who doesn't own a helmet.

There are no food facilities there but we would put on a BBQ and provide refreshments included in your ticket price.

For this event to go ahead, we would need 25 people (minimum) at a cost of $250pp.

So that works out at roughly $60p/h to go out, have fun, learn some car control and racing techniques and get to let a little more loose than you normally would at happy laps.

                                                                        %d comments

They stopped this series a lot of years ago so some of these cars are not able to be gotten unless ur lucky enough to come across someone selling like me. I may have missed a couple of cars in the photos. They range in price from $40 upwards depending on the car obviously as some are rarer than others. This means that it will be cancelled or the 22 members attending will need to chip in extra and their will be no drinks and lunch.. This club is a non for profit club which means we don't have a kitty to cover events etc. It would come out of my pocket. Everyone has been made aware that the money for the skid pan is non refundable so I need 2 more people or to avoid cancelation people will need to pay more and if you need to pay more their will be no drinks and lunch..
