So I got my bronco back today, 96 5.8. It had been at the mechanics for the ac and abs light. I went somewhere, stopped, went in for an hr and came back out. When I started it up the brake light was on but the parking brake wasnt engaged. Wouldn't go off so I drove off. Then the od light was flashing on and off, trans wouldn't shift, blinkers didn't work but the flashers did. Stopped, shut it off, same thing but with the check engine light on. Shut it off for 10mins, turned on, lights are all off and blinker is working again. Any clue what happened?
Practiced on my old bronco fender for wheel arch job, I've got some high spots that could use some grinding as well as a bunch of burn throughs. If you are installing a patch panel and get burn throughs do you fill the holes with weld ? Or would I recut a panel and start from scratch. Also what are methods to get a precise fit of the new panel? The reason I was getting burn throughs is the gap was too big in a lot of places. I used the intergrip clamps and it made the gap way to big. I'm using .25 Lincoln mild steel wire.
